Long Workshops
Mata Ortiz Pottery Long Workshop Schedule
- Day 1. Collect the clay and clean it.
- Day 2. Hand build.
- Day 3. Guided tour to Paquimé and the Northern Cultures Museum during the morning and sanding and burnish in the afternoon.
- Day 4. Make brushes and paint.
- Day 5. Firing.
The cost for the long workshop is $1000 USD and includes:
- All Tools needed for the workshop
- All materials needed for the workshop
- Three meals a day
- Shared accommodation, two persons per room
- Guided tour to Paquimé.
Note. In order for a workshop to happen there must be at least 5 participants and all workshops are for no more than 15 participants.
Short Workshops

The cost for the short workshop is $700 USD and includes:
- All tools needed for the workshop
- All materials needed for the workshop
- Three meals a day
- Shared accommodation, two persons per room
Note. In order for a workshop to happen there must be at least 5 participants and all workshops are for no more than 15 participants.
